Kyle Williams looks to put the Rookie Wide Receiver jinx to bed this year.

Patriot's fans it is a great time of the season as your Patriots rookies have reported to training camp today this morning. More great news for your Patriots as the final rookie second round draft pick TreVeyon Henderson inked his deal late yesterday to wrap up the draft class as all the drafted players have now signed their contracts with no holdouts. Now it is time to play football in Foxboro. Another housekeeping note franchise quarterback Drake Maye has also been in Foxboro as he has reported to the team early. With quarterback, Drake Maye reporting this early to training Camp he has shown in only his second year, true leadership on and off the field. Even though quarterback, Drake Maye was married to his long time, girlfriend in June. He has arranged multiple workouts with the wide receivers and a few running backs building, continuity, timing, and friendship on and off the field with his players.

Now, let’s take a brief look at the rookies who reported to training camp today. First up fourth overall pick and first round draft pick left tackle Will Campbell. It is critical that the left tackle comes into camp this season and solidifies franchise quarterback, Drake Maye's blindside establishing dominance on the offensive line. Next up second round pick TreVeyon Henderson from Ohio State University. Henderson is explosive and he can score from anywhere on the field, he catches the ball out of the backfield and is a dynamic running back who should greatly improve our running game. TreVeyon has proved in college he is a touchdown machine and should help our offense score touchdowns. Moving on the Patriots had two third round draft picks, first up they drafted Kyle Williams wide receiver from Washington State he’s explosive and dynamic in the passing game. Add to that he is explosive running downfield and should help the offense stretch the field under offensive coordinator Josh McDaniel’s. Williams should help offense move the ball down the field, helping with key catches and touchdowns. With the second third round pick they selected Jared Wilson from Georgia University he can play center and guard on the offensive line. Wilson should fill in perfectly to help stabilize our offensive line as a backup offensive lineman this season. Craig Woodson cornerback from California our fourth-round pick could be a sleeper pick this year and will add much needed depth in the defensive backfield. He is also a run stuffer at the cornerback spot and should help defend against running backs coming out of the backfield, and tight ends coming across the middle of the field.

Moving into the middle of the Patriots draft this year we have a couple steals in the draft the first one a player we traded up to get in the fourth round at 137th overall is Joshua Farmer from Florida State who should add quality depth on the defensive line and help stuff the running backs. The second absolute steal in the middle of the draft is linebacker Bradyn Swinson from LSU. Swinson will add much needed depth in the linebacker room being an explosive hard hitting Linebacker or even Edge Rusher. Swinson in my mind should have been a top fifty pick. In round six the Patriots added kicker out of Miami Andres Borregales who should have the inside track to be the starter at kicker for the team. New England had three seventh round draft picks selecting Offensive Tackle Marcus Bryant, Long Snapper Julian Ashby out of Vanderbilt who should have the inside track at the position now that the team let veteran Cardona go. The Patriots wrapped up the draft by taking Kobee Minor defensive back out of Memphis. I see our seventh-round picks battling for practice squad spots.

Finally, some undrafted free agents too watch in camp this summer are rookie undrafted sensation Efton Chism III from Easton Washington. Chism is explosive with great hands who should be a great slot receiver in offensive coordinator Josh McDaniel system. Running back Lan Larison as well as fellow full back Brock Lampe, who is a pure fullback will push for roster spots but may end up on the practice squad. Other players to watch are undrafted free agent tight ends Gee Scott from Ohio State and C.J Dippre who could push for the third Tight End spot on the fifty-three-man roster. Quarterback Ben Wooldrige should either make the team on the fifty-three-man roster or the practice squad. To wrap up this article the Patriots have a great mixture of young talent to round out the active fifty-three-man roster or practice squad to help build a new culture in New England. The Patriots rookies could immediately help this team, and they start their journey as they report to training camp today, July 19 at Gillette Stadium.
